Why Fifa World Cup fans in Hong Kong may not be cheering for Now TV

How long can Now TV get away with taking the customer for granted? Several years ago, we had the NBA (National Basketball Association) as part of the subscription, we had access to the Indian Premier League, we had six nations on a channel that we pay a lot for, and we had a lot of other things – most included in the subscription.

Now we have next to nothing and you charge the same price. You are living on the fact that you have the English Premier League.

Well, this is daylight robbery. It is basically a duopoly between you and the cable owners.

You are charging residential customers HK$880 for the Fifa World Cup, and you are charging bars between HK$35,000 and HK$50,000 for the same. This is not democratic and needs to be looked at.
