Hong Kong schools can use teaching videos to enhance the learning process

One mode of teaching is to present different concepts to students. But some teachers are not skilled at explaining concepts. Also, as each teaches in their own way, they cannot easily refer to one another, and are also pressured by having to prepare for their class in a limited time frame.

Having been a tutor for five years, I believe there is a better way to express yourself so students can understand concepts more easily, and that is by recording them. 

Take famous tutorial centres with big reputations: they provide training videos and notes. We can conclude that one effective way to study is to read great notes or watch great videos. 

So, before students learn a new topic, they could be given a teaching video to watch. Teachers could better spend class time by answering questions raised by students afterwards. Other countries use systematic video education resources, available to the rich and poor alike. However, in Hong Kong, only the more wealthy can afford the courses and video presentations produced by famous tutorial centres.

I think we teachers should band together to create good teaching videos and make them available for learners, for free if need be. We have to provide every student a good and fair educational foundation to let them reach their true potential in life and lead Hong Kong to a brighter future.
