Specialising in control cables and aluminium die-cast parts as an original equipment manufacturer, Kyosei is building up its production capacity to bolster its market share in India and Southeast Asia.

We need to work faster and focus on encouraging our factories in India and Indonesia to be more successful like the ones in China. Kyosei’s China hubs have developed and progressed, consequently employing more people than in Japan with about 700 workers Takashi Ishitani, president

Kyosei has been serving Japan’s agricultural and industrial machinery, construction and automotive industries since 1978. It has expanded its business through joint ventures since 1995, building its first overseas factory in China, followed years later by two more plants, one for die casting, and a training and distribution office. It entered the United States with a facility in Chicago in 2004, and has been present in India and Indonesia since 2013.

“We are small companies, so we need to work faster and focus on encouraging our factories in India and Indonesia to be more successful like the ones in China,” says Kyosei president Takashi Ishitani. “Kyosei’s China hubs have developed and progressed, consequently employing more people than in Japan with about 700 workers. It is Kyosei’s style to tell its local partners to take the initiative.”

Kyosei also assembles and distributes materials from different suppliers, aiming to add value to its customers’ businesses through tailored items, reduced price and increased efficiency.

Having a stable market in its homeland and diversifying into purchasing and distribution of a wider product range to its domestic and overseas patrons are the company’s keys to success. But amid its secured manufacturing and sales, Kyosei purports to further penetrate the market in India and Southeast Asia, especially Myanmar as a next destination, by opening up for partners whose product quality can satisfy Japanese standards.

“It is quite rare in Japan that our size as a company has a base in each district. That is what we want to say – that we can provide the same quality of product at almost the same cost in whichever base,” Ishitani says.
