Realising the importance of moulding the minds of future generations, Bonanza Venture Holdings (BVH) is taking up a key role in raising the standards of international education worldwide beginning in Southeast Asia and China. Responsible for the success of Tenby Schools as one of Malaysia’s largest groups of international educational institutions, the conglomerate is rekindling its passion for teaching, this time under its new Bonanza Educare flagship brand.

“A shortage of international schoolteachers is happening not only in Malaysia but throughout the region, as upcoming countries such as Vietnam and Cambodia don’t have enough educators who have the ability to teach in the international school setting,” says Edwin Tan, group executive director. “We are working hard to satisfy this need in the education sector.”

Besides establishing the Ipoh Learning and Training Institute, Kinder Labz and Matrix Global Schools, BVH is setting up several international schools and language and learning centres in Malaysia. The company will also be putting up a K-12 language school in China, and is eyeing similar projects in Vietnam and Cambodia as it welcomes more collaborations with industry players and teachers.

Such impactful and transformative nature of the group’s initiatives characterises its other business ventures comprising property development, hospitality and car dealership. BVH is behind the 200-hectare Meru Valley Golf Resort in Ipoh featuring a 27-hole championship golf course complete with assisted-living facilities that have become popular with retirees from Japan, South Korea and Australia. Replicating the success of Meru Valley, BVH is embarking on a similar condominium project in Kuala Lumpur while developing a hotel resort on Pangkor Island.

“We’re always guided by our core corporate value of care,” Tan says. “We’ve consistently incorporated this philosophy into our products and services to ensure that customers get the best value.”
