When the founder of Khao Shong Coffee, Chira Chiralerspong, discovered wild beans scattered by the roadside, he did not know it would be the start of an empire that would put Thai coffee on the world map. He explored many ways of brewing to bring out the very best essence of Thai coffee. This tradition lives up to this day as Khao Shong continuously improves the science behind the perfect cup of coffee.
Renowned for championing premium Thai coffee sourced from local farmers, Khao Shong processes coffee beans using its know-how to build its own machinery with technology to create distinctive brews and blends that appeal to a wide range of tastes. Khao Shong’s products include agglomerated instant coffee and three-in-one coffee mix powder variants of espresso, super rich, mocha, cappuccino, smooth and creamy, condensed milk flavour and caramel macchiato. Iced or cold coffee options are also available in three-in-one form and in ready-to-drink cans. Roasted and ground coffee are also available for the food service segment.
“Khao Shong always believes in growth and innovation. That’s the reason we launch new products constantly and offer something new to customers. As a product of intensive research and development efforts, Khao Shong has one of the most extensive product lines in Thailand,” says deputy managing director Dr Ariya Chiralertpong.
Outside Thailand, Khao Shong works with distributors to market its products. With the successful growth in Asean markets, the company sees tremendous opportunities to grow globally, having just expanded its capacity with the establishment of a new plant in Chachoengsao, Thailand. The company seeks partnerships with distributors that can help Khao Shong be attuned with customer demands to help expand the reach of its products globally. Khao Shong also welcomes collaborations with companies requiring assistance in research and development.
