A leading specialist in air conditioning and refrigeration compressor manufacturing in Thailand, Kulthorn Kirby has been in the business since 1981 under the Thai government’s promotional policies. Kulthorn Kirby is a joint-venture between Kulthorn and Kirby-Australia. Kulthorn was originally founded in 1965 under Kulthorn Engineering. Later on, several other companies were founded under the Kulthorn name, including Kulthorn Kirby, which manufactures compressors and casts at its own foundry. The company has become a major supplier and assembly factory of magnet wire and steel for stamping. Kulthorn Electric was also founded to manufacture electric motors for the air-conditioning and refrigeration industries.
