Grammy Award-winning American dance music duo The Chainsmokers will be returning to Hong Kong for a headline live show on March 27 next year.

The DJ/production duo of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall have become one of the hottest acts in the world of electronic dance music (EDM) in recent years, releasing the smash hit collaborative single Something Just Like This with Coldplay earlier this year.

The Chainsmokers scored their first US top five hit with Don’t Let Me Down, which won the duo the Grammy Award for best dance recording in February this year.

With a sound Taggart has described as “blurring the lines between indie, pop music, dance music and hip-hop”, the Chainsmokers have notched up more than five billion streams worldwide.

The duo last appeared in Hong Kong in 2015 at the large-scale Don’t Let Daddy Know dance music event alongside fellow EDM icons Skrillex and Laidback Luke.

Ticket prices and location for their next Hong Kong show on March 27 have yet to be announced by concert organiser Live Nation.
