Hong Kong's Nepalese community is reeling in the aftermath of the 7.9-magnitude earthquake that struck in their home country. The majority of them have relatives in the earthquake hit region. Hong Kong's former Gurkha soldiers' home villages are close to the epicentre and have been badly affected.

CHOIR AID NAMASTE – SONGS FOR NEPAL
Hong Kong’s choir community is lending its collective voice to the relief effort with a choir session at St John’s Cathedral, Garden Road, Central. The Hong Kong Women’s Choir, Kassla Women’s Choir, Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir, Eight Five Tunes and The Unsung Heroes are taking part. Minimum suggested donation HK$200. All donations go to the Child Welfare Schheme to help its teams on the ground in Pokhara and Kathmandu.
