Five princes who are young, rich and handsome, and still eligible bachelors

Britain’s Prince Harry may be leaving the dating pool, but there are still plenty of well-educated and refined young royal men around the world who are still single. Here are five of the most eligible

Prince Mateen of Brunei. Striking, rich and 26, he plays polo and has a master’s degree in diplomacy – an eligible royal bachelor indeed.

One royal bachelor is off the market, now that Britain’s Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are tying the knot. But there is still a chance of marrying Prince Charming. Here are five princes from around the world that are still single.

1. Prince Mateen of Brunei

Young, striking and rich, 26-year-old Abdul Mateen is the whole package. The fourth son of the ruling Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah in the Southeast Asian country, he graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in Britain, before obtaining a degree in International Politics at King’s College London. In 2016, he completed his master’s in International Studies and Diplomacy at the University of London.

Now the prince is polishing his diplomatic skills, recently accompanying his father on a visit to Malaysia to pay a courtesy call to Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.

How else does he spend his time? Playing polo, taking care of his exotic pets (tiger, leopards and pony) and travelling the world, according to his Instagram account, where he flaunts his lavish lifestyle and impeccable abs, attracting 847,000 followers.

2. Prince Nikolai of Denmark

The eldest son of the now divorced Prince Joachim and Hong Kong-born Princess Alexandra Christina, Prince Nikolai (whose full name is Nikolai William Alexander Frederik) turned 18 in August last year. While seventh in line to the Danish throne, Prince Nikolai does not receive an appanage, he is signed to a model agency and made his catwalk debut at the Burberry show during London Fashion Week. His handsome face and curly brown hair also graced the cover of Dust Magazine

Another Instagram star, Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum has six million followers on the social media platform, where he shares photos of him kissing ponies, scuba diving in caves, handling falcons in Uzbekistan, feeding squirrels, standing at the edge of a cliff and selfies with other members of the royal family.

4. Prince Constantine-Alexios of Greece

The eldest son of Crown Prince Pavlos and Crown Princess Marie-Chantal is kept mostly out of the spotlight. Affectionately known as Tino, Prince Constantine is the godson of Prince William. A photo from 1999 shows 16-year-old Prince William cradling the baby at his christening in London. Born in New York and raised in Britain, the 19-year-old has returned to America recently to study at Georgetown University in Washington. And as his Instagram pictures show, he is also quite the artist.

5. Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan

As the heir apparent of King Abdullah II of Jordan, being a crown prince is more than just a royal title and comes with real responsibilities. A graduate from Georgetown University with a degree in international history, Crown Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II has since launched initiatives to promote innovation and improve education, chaired United Nations Security Council meetings, participated in military exercises as a lieutenant and accompanied his father, King Abdullah II on diplomatic visits. And though he does look older, he is only 23 years old.
