See it, like it, buy it, wear it. Burberry changes all the rules

The highly desirable military coats and sequin shifts on the Burberry catwalk at London Fashion Week are the last that you will have to patiently pre-order and wait six weeks to receive. From next September Burberry will present men’s and women’s collections together and they will be available to buy straight after the show. The collections will no longer be classed by the seasons but as September and February. This means a customer can see a great looking coat on a model and buy it then and there.

This is nothing short of a revolution on the catwalk. No more waiting six months for clothes that were live-streamed from the show to hit the stores.

Burberry has unleashed upheaval in the fashion calendar that will thrill customers. Tom Ford and Tommy Hilfiger are following suit and more designers are sure to join.

In the meantime customers will have to be a little more patient to get their hands on the new green python trench, bold floral sequined mini-dresses, or the belt-buckle strap mini accordion handbag, called The Patchwork. This was a collection rich in jewel coloured lamé dresses and dark patterned brocade shifts with pleated hems, and of course great cashmere outerwear. Python snaked its way through almost every look, even the luxurious evening fabrics was grounded with tough-looking multicoloured patchwork python buckle boots and black patterned hosiery.
