Zeffirino Ristorante at the Regal Hongkong Hotel in Causeway Bay has a dinner on August 30 featuring the wines of Castello Banfi. The five-course meal is HK$1,088 plus 10 per cent and includes house-made lasagne with potato and French beans in pesto sauce paired with Banfi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG 2007; and grilled rib-eye steak with porcini mushrooms and rocket salad with Brunello Poggio Alle Mura DOCG 2007 and the Excelsus 2007. 208 Duecento Otto in Sheung Wan is serving mushroom dishes until the end of August. Dishes include white asparagus with a slow-cooked egg, burnt butter, parmesan and shiitake mushrooms; and roasted porcini mushroom risotto with truffle oil, aged parmesan and black trumpet crumbs. Café Renaissance at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel in Wan Chai has Southeast Asian dishes on the dinner buffet until the end of the month. The selection includes Singaporean chilli crab; Thai shrimp mousse with lemon grass; and grilled stingray with sambal (above right). Guests can personalise orders of laksa, Vietnamese fresh spring rolls, and cendol (coconut-based dessert). The dinner buffet is HK$398 plus 10 per cent (includes free-flow soft drinks and orange juice) or HK$498 (draft beer and house red, white or sparkling wine) for adults and HK$218 for children Monday to Thursday.
