Nobu at the InterContinental hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui is featuring seasonal ingredients from Kyushu prefecture in Japan until the end of April. The ingredients feature in dishes on a six-course omakase lunch (HK$658 plus 10 per cent), at a “Kyushu food kiosk”, in a donburi and ramen set lunch selection, and an eight-course omakase dinner (HK$1,488 plus 10 per cent). They include tachiuo (scabbard fish) sashimi with aoume (green plum) puree and akahata (red grouper) sashimi with sakura (cherry) dressing; and miso braised pork belly or wagyu beef with karashi sumiso (mustard-miso). Cafe 103 at the Ritz-Carlton in Tsim Sha Tsui is serving a sakura afternoon set tea created by guest pastry chef Hideaki Tanaka from the Ritz-Carlton in Tokyo. Available until May 14, the selection includes sakura-flower-marinated radish roll with zuwai crab (snow crab) and caviar; sakura shrimp cocktail sandwich; green tea panna cotta with sakura jelly; sakura tropezienne; green tea sakura cake; and sakura, strawberry and red bean mousse.

The tea is HK$378 plus 10 per cent for one or HK$638 for two Monday to Friday and HK$398 plus 10 per cent for one or HK$658 for two on Saturday, Sunday and the eve and day of public holidays. Bookings: 2263 2270.

Dragon Inn at the Regal Airport hotel in Chek Lap Kok has a special à la carte selection of dishes inspired by Tang dynasty poet Li Bai’s poem about Yangzhou in spring. The dishes are available until the end of April and include braised sea whelks with spicy chilli wine; sauteed eel fillet with bell pepper; and braised bean curd soup with shredded conpoy. Ina by Inagiku in Tseung Kwan O is offering a weekday tempura feast for HK$388 plus 10 per cent. The set lunch includes signature prawn tempura; tempura abalone; unlimited servings of vegetable tempura such as baby corn, okra, pumpkin, mushroom and lotus root; plus rice or noodles.
