Top 5 videos of the week: From 'diving' professors to eye-popping space rocket video

Every Saturday, the South China Morning Post presents its top video picks from SCMP.tv and the web, highlighting news, features, mini-documentaries and more.

This week, we hitch a ride into outer space and back down to earth on a rocket, watch a University of Hong Kong professor taking a dive or fainting, depending on your point of view, and witness some super fun space science stuff!

NASA's fizzing water bubble experiment captured in hi-res

With NASA recently upgrading to a RED 4K camera, it was only a matter of time before the US space agency began posting videos shot in gorgeous 4K. One of the latest clips includes amazing footage of astronaut Terry Virts dissolving an effervescent tablet in a floating ball of water in an experiment to explore water tension in microgravity. The results are riveting, with the viewing experience made more satisfying in high definition. Isn't space stuff cool?!

HKU professor takes a fall as students storm council meeting

Medical professor Lo Chung-mau, a member of the University of Hong Kong's governing body, became a meme this week when he fell to the ground after students stormed a council meeting taking place at the school. But after footage of the fall emerged, many on the internet accused him of faking it and compared him to a "diving" soccer player. While Lo denies this, a meme was inevitably born. Check out this Where's Wally? parody or this comparison to a "diving" socccer player. You can read what's behind all the hullabaloo here.

German rocket takes viewers on a virutal ride into space and back

In another "cool space" video, the German Aerospace Centre released footage of an unmanned scientific rocket taking a minutes-long trip into the universe and back down to Earth. With the images shot from the outside of the rocket, viewers get the chance to feel like they're going on an exciting journey. To maximize the viewing experience, make sure you watch in full-screen mode.

Supafly steals the show

These poor guys never had a chance. When the two friends tried hard to show off their moves during a little dance session, it wasn't long until they were shown up by a breakdancing fly.

Meet some of the coolest cosplayers from Hong Kong's Ani-Com 2015

Cosplayers strutted their stuff at Hong Kong's Ani-Com this year, dressing up as characters from video games such as Puzzle & Dragons and League of Legends. SCMP.tv dropped by the fan convention to chat with them about their passion, and the pains they go through to create their elaborate costumes. Fun fact: a lot of these outfits took up to three months to make!
