WHO TO BRING Business
associates, colleagues and friends.

TURN-ONS Flint’s crudo with New Zealand alpine salmon with beetroot, hazelnuts and smoked olive oil, and the lobster bisque are good starters - the bisque is arguably the best in town. The crudo is enough to share, and the nutty and smoky elements work well with the salmon and beetroot. Other starters include foie gras corned beef Rangers Valley brisket with peppercorn and sourdough, oysters and grilled octopus.

We chose mains of Welsh lamb shoulder and cutlet with honey root vegetables and lamb barley. The lamb was mild in flavour to suit local palates, and is best done medium. It sat on a bed of creamed root vegetables with the sweetness of the honey balancing well with the lamb.

The large Iberico pork burger is a popular choice and comes with chipotle mayonnaise, arugula, apple compote and rosemary fries. The desserts are also good. The texture of chocolate is a creative end featuring dark chocolate mousse, fluffy sponge, crunchy meringue and tonka bean chocolate ice cream or for something lighter, the raspberry sorbet with seasonal fruit and berries.

TURN-OFFS The black sesame crème brûlée is an original idea, but crème brûlée purists might be disappointed.
