Shine in the best glitter make-up this party season
The festive season offers the perfect excuse to embrace your inner peacock and stand out from the crowd
Nars’ brightly coloured eyeshadows will ensure you stand out at any glitzy gatherings this festive season.
Green is having a moment on red carpets and catwalks. Wear it on your lids with NARS’ Moskova Quad Eyeshadows (HK$440), or as they call it, the Ultimate Foursome. Each of the four glimmering shades – moss green, deep emerald, denim blue and black with blue shimmer – will make your eyes pop, but why not blend them together for a stunning gradient effect?
The actual colours of Charlotte Tilbury’s latest offering, the Stars In Your Eyes palette (HK$670), are slightly different from their description and photos. The matt plum leans more towards burgundy and the metallic shades are disappointing in terms of colour payoff. But their intensity can be built up by adding layers.
Make Up Forever’s Star Lit Palette (HK$400) has 18 versatile shades with astronomy-inspired names – think Meteor, Eclipse and Halo – and comes with a tutorial on how to create different looks, including the bold Smoky Eclipse and Galactic Cut Crease. And to make your eyes shine like a disco ball, sprinkle some Star Lit Diamond Powder (HK$230) on top.
For colours that will last the whole night, go for a cream eyeshadow, such as bareMinerals’ Dream Lights. The kit (HK$350) comes with three neutral shades – charcoal, a lustrous champagne gold and rose gold. The latter two can double as a highlighter for cheeks, forehead and above your cupid’s bow.
