It’s BTS season on Korean TV, as JTBC plans month of screenings for fans in Coronavirus lockdown to make up for cancelled concerts
Kicking off with Bring the Soul: The Movie and ending with Love Yourself in Seoul, Korean fans will be able to watch a series of concerts and documentaries on the band over the next month

When coronavirus pandemic broke out across the world, BTS were forced to cancel planned concerts both at home in Seoul and in the US. With thousands of fans were left disappointed, South Korean broadcasting company JTBC is rolling out content to keep the BTS Army – as the band’s millions of fans are known – entertained, with a month of material planned to air between April 16 to May 14.
Bring the Soul: The Movie will be broadcast from April 16 at 11pm KST. The film gives a glimpse of the group’s concert tour from across the globe. Each member also contemplates the surreal experience of meeting thousands of fans at a rooftop in Paris.
“Thanks to you, we can't help but put all of our energy into our performances on stage,” Jimin says in the trailer.
From April 23 the Bring the Soul: Docu-Series will run for three weeks. The six-part series features the band practising for its first stadium concert, and also includes exclusive interviews revealing the members’ inspiration.
In the first episode, titled Challenge, J-Hope contemplates how the group changed their mindset. For the 2017 Wings tour, every member had fire in their blood and sky-high dreams.
“I think our Wings concert tour was the beginning. Of course there were other tours like The Red Bullet, but we were just starting out and still green. Now everyone's rock steady. They handle things well without much trouble,” Jin adds.
Finally, JTBC will screen the Love Yourself in Seoul concert film on May 14. The film features seven-piece band’s performance at the Seoul Olympic Stadium in August 2018.
Meanwhile, BTS has been busy in spite of isolating themselves in South Korea.
On Sunday, April 5, BTS’ V danced to Postmodern Jukebox's cover of Closer – The Chainsmokers’ hit song. “If you are bored, talk to the TV”, he wrote in a tweet.

Additionally, the group remotely performed their hit song Boy with Luv on The Late Late Show with James Corden on March 30.
Unlike their past performances, the members danced in their loungewear at their own studio due to the quarantine regulations in South Korea.
In a short interview with Corden, the group addressed questions about the situation in Korea amid the coronavirus, and provided messages to their fans.
“Social distancing is crucial. We are so grateful we can connect with you from here. It may seem like we're isolated but we're still connected through our shared experiences, courage and laughter,” band member RM said.
The group expressed thanked fans for tuning into the show and shared hopes to see them soon.
BTS’ label Big Hit Entertainment will announce rescheduled dates for the band’s North American tour at a later day.
