Has Ariana Grande had plastic surgery? These before and after pictures have got us thinking …

A breakout Nickelodeon teen star, Ariana Grande has been in front of the camera for more than a decade – but these childhood pictures have left us wondering if, or when, the perfectly proportioned pop princess went under the knife for some cosmetic enhancement

With her trademark ponytail, velvety voice and string of chart hits, pop star Ariana Grande is already one of the most iconic singers of our time. In fact, it’s hard to believe Ariana first burst onto the entertainment scene back in 2009 on Nickelodeon’s Victorious.

In fact, over the past 11 years throughout her meteoric rise to fame, the petite pop princess has grown up right before our very eyes. And while we watched her slowly blossom from a teenager into a woman – now aged 27 – we didn’t notice a variety of subtle changes to her appearance. Until now, that is.

A quick photo comparison of the Ariana we know today versus the lesser-known starlet from a decade ago has left us wondering: has she or hasn’t she gone under the knife?

From teen to kween

We instantly did a double take when we saw these snaps of a bright-eyed and bushy tailed teenage Ariana. Yes, faces change over time, but the sultry singer is practically unrecognisable. Of course, our faces transform as we grow into adulthood, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating.

Many believe Grande’s face was rounder and her nose wider a decade ago.

Then there’s the brows

According to various celeb surgery social media accounts like @exposingcelebsurgery – which aims to do what it says on the tin – Grande has likely undergone a brow lift. No, not the type of invasive surgery where they cut your face open and wire you up. More of a Botox brow lift. In fact, the newest and most popular Botox brow lift procedure doesn’t require any anaesthesia, and it also doesn’t leave scars.

While Ari has never addressed the brow lift rumours, photo comparisons speak for themselves.

Ariana claps back

In December 2019, a fan commented “let's talk about Ariana's nose” on a picture on the singer’s Instagram, once again leading to a massive online discussion whether or not she’s had work done.

After much furore, the same fan then retweeted the post, this time defending the pop star, with the caption: “y'all who cares if she got a nose job IT’S CUTE ISN'T IT.”

Noticing the debate on social media, Grande decided to jump in and clear up the rumours. She responded: “hayyy this my birth nose what tf did i log onto today lemme have a cute nose … damn.”

Adding fuel to the fire, she then posted a GIF of Goldie Hawn’s iconic character Elise Elliot in The First Wives Club, famously known for her love of Botox, captioned: “i can't wait to be her”.

A cheeky fan commented: “you are her already tho”, and Ari replied: “omg thank u”.

Touche, girl.

We’ll probably never really know

Whether the changes in Grande’s face are down to cosmetic surgery, make-up or simply age, nobody really knows except for the pop star herself. And it’s probably nobody’s business, either. What we do know is that she looks fantastic, and even younger than her 27 years.

And if she has indeed done some minor nip and tucks, we say it’s money well spent.

Thank you, next!
