Move over, Selling Sunset: meet Netflix’s Selling Tampa star Sharelle Rosado, the founder of luxury property firm Allure Realty who’s expecting a baby with NFL player Chad Johnson

The new spin-off series for Netflix’s smash real estate show Selling Sunset is finally here! Featuring a brand new cast, Selling Tampa takes a look at the inner workings of Allure Realty, an all-female, all-black brokerage firm. Besides exploring the world of luxury home sales, the series will also zoom into the drama of the ladies’ personal lives.

The whole spectacle unfolds around Sharelle Rosado, the founder and CEO of Allure Realty. So who is she and, aside from being a veteran real estate broker, how does the 34-year-old run her company?

She’s expecting a child with her fiancé, former NFL player Chad Johnson

When the official teasers for Selling Sunset and Selling Tampa were released, Rosado was seen sporting a baby bump in a pink dress. Rosado is actually engaged and expecting a baby with former NFL player and Dancing with the Stars alum Chad Johnson.

Rosado learned about the pregnancy while filming for the reality TV series, according to People. The baby will be Johnson’s eighth and Rosado’s fourth child.

Rosado also explained to People how her pregnancy affected filming. She admitted that it was difficult to keep up because “there were times when the ladies were enjoying themselves, having fun, drinking”, she said, when she herself had to cut off alcohol.

She slid into Johnson’s DMs

In an episode of I am Athlete, a weekly podcast, Rosado talked about how she met Johnson, her fiancé.

“We used to tell – the joke was we met on Christian Mingle, but I actually slid into his DMs,” Rosado recalled. This was after the two met during a track meet since both their daughters run, according to Showbiz Cheat Sheet. Then they exchanged numbers and called each other on FaceTime.

She discovered her passion for real estate when she bought her own home

Rosado served in the military for over 12 years and was also deployed to Afghanistan twice, but she medically retired from the military before working in real estate, reports Express.

She told Glamour UK that when she bought her own home in Tampa, she enjoyed learning about properties and thought about pursuing it as a career. Her transition from the military to real estate was also driven by her desire to help people find their dream homes, she told the magazine.

She made Allure Realty successful

Rosado’s success in the real estate business laid the foundations for her to start her own brokerage firm, Allure Realty, in 2019. According to the company’s bio, Allure Realty’s first location opened in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Over a span of two years, Rosado was able to grow the company. Allure Realty was also nominated for the best real estate company award at Best of the Bay 2021.

She has a military background

According to House Beautiful, Rosado was a former paratrooper, and this gives her a different perspective on running her own company.

In an interview with People, the reality TV star said she likes to incorporates her military bearings into Allure. All of her agents know that she’s the boss, and she doesn’t tolerate any funny business. “If it gets out of hand, I don’t even have to raise my voice. I give them a look and that stern voice comes on. They know it’s a time and a place for everything,” she said.
