Salvatore Ferragamo launches new Tramezza Made-To-Order programme

Gentlemen can personalise their shoes’ style, colour, material and buckle finish, and even opt for monogrammed soles

In the world of luxury and fashion, it’s no longer just a matter of whether the shoe fits or not. It’s about finding the perfect match, both in terms of fit and style.

Salvatore Ferragamo has just launched its Tramezza made-to-order programme for men’s shoes to give clients the opportunity to take control of the design process and create shoes that fit their own personal preferences.

Check out our video to see a master craftsman with over 50 years of working experience at Salvatore Ferragamo shape and add colour to a shoe:

Options for customisation include the basic shape and type of the shoe (Oxford, double monkstrap or monkstrap boot), material, colour and buckle finish. The sole of the shoes can also be monogrammed for extra personalisation.

The name “tramezza”, which means “something in-between”, refers to the extra layer of leather that is placed between the in-sole and the sole. By using leather instead of cork, Ferragamo’s Tramezza shoes ensure long-lasting comfort and durability.

Each shoe requires 100 nails during the shaping process. One coat of paint is applied once a day for three days.

To coincide with the new launch, a limited-edition range of styles will be available for patrons. Another highlight is a special red shoe box packaging resembling a small trunk that your prized new shoes will be presented in.
