The Gucci GG Marmont belt bag includes a specially designed leather belt enabling it to be worn high on the waist.
It has been a very good season for Gucci. The label recently topped the “10 hottest fashion brands in the world” list compiled by fashion search platform Lyst, and its number one position is indicative of its hip and avant-garde design DNA which has been such a hit with the young, or young at heart.
The brand’s latest GG Marmont collection is no exception. The crystal star-embellished accessories – a small shoulder bag and a velvet belt bag – are certainly consistent with Gucci’s trendy aesthetic.
Featuring the brand’s Double G icon that evolved from the Running G buckle from the 70s archives, the black chevron velvet small shoulder bag is embellished with star appliqués embroidered with glimmering crystals in different colours.
The velvet belt bag with crystal star embellishment is a more retro option for bolder “it” girls. Not long ago, belt bags still weren’t considered particularly fashionable, but Gucci helped revive the retro 90s sportswear-inspired trend for young buyers. Featuring a sporty, rounded shape, the GG Marmont belt bag combines functionality with versatility – the easy-to-wear item has a specially designed leather belt so the bag can be worn high on the waist.
