Opened in 1993, the iconic property is one of the first luxury hotels in Malaysia.
Located in an ancient rainforest overlooking the serene Datai Bay, the hideaway is widely known for its lush nature, tranquil environment, unique architecture, modern design, rich wildlife and warm hospitality.
The resort recently underwent a stylish renovation led by Didier Lefort of DL2A design studio, with a complete overhaul of the interiors, guest rooms, suites, villas and public spaces.
The most noteworthy new addition is The Datai Estate Villa, an expansive five-bedroom complex, which is one of the largest of its kind in Asia. It comprises two living rooms, two connecting pools and two dining pools. Also, a flexible space can be adapted into a spa treatment room, children’s playground or gym according to guests’ needs, while a 24-hour butler service, private chef and complimentary airport transfers are provided.
Three new rainforest pool villas, located along the Datai River, have also been built.
