Louboutin launches women’s fragrances
The line, comprising three scents, will be available in Hong Kong this month
Christian Louboutin is launching three women’s fragrances. The different scents are designed for women with different personalities. The designer says: “I want to give women the means to express themselves and to delight in their femininity.”
Bikini Questa Sera takes the heat into the night with jasmine and tuberose. Tornade Blonde is the scent of desire. Feminine and potent, animalistic yet botanic, it is the scent of desire, love and adventure, with hints of red rose and sweet violet. Trouble in Heaven is the scent of provocation, made from iris, patchouli and tonka absolut.
The bottles are objets d’art. Glass undulates and wraps the bottle to capture light, play with transparence and reveal the intense colour associated with each individual fragrance. The bottle is designed as a sculptural totem that resembles an award.
Christian Louboutin worked closely with designer Thomas Heatherwick to come up with these perfume bottles. Louboutin is fascinated by the idea that “liquid is alive”, meaning that the fragrance has movement and life within the bottle. The fragrances, priced at HK$2,400, are available now at Lane Crawford IFC and at Louboutin’s shop on Wyndham Street from October 15.
