Italian jewellery brand Buccellati opened its new bricks-and-mortar store in Macau, taking a step forward in its global expansion. The new Buccellati store is located in the newly opened MGM Cotai Mall.
After China’s Gansu Gangtai Holding acquired 85 per cent of Buccellati’s shares last year, the historic jewellery brand has opened several new stores in China, including its first boutique at Plaza 66 in Shanghai.
The brand has plans to open 88 stores in the next five years to build a comprehensive global distribution network, 18 of which will be in Chinese cities, according to a China Daily report.
The luxury jewellery house, founded in Milan in 1919, is known for creating pieces using traditional engraving techniques and Italian Renaissance-inspired designs. In addition to the boutiques in China, Buccellati also has stores in Europe, the United States and Japan.
