Which Game of Thrones character would fans most like to save on the battlefield?

If you could save any character on the television series Game of Thrones, who would it be? Jon? Daenerys? Arya?
Fans – according to Reddit, the American social news aggregation, web content rating and discussion website – are going with someone a little less adept on the battlefield.
Of more than 90,000 Game of Thrones fans who responded to the r/gameofthrones community’s weekly survey about the HBO series, 39 per cent said they would choose Samwell Tarly (John Bradley) to live, even if it meant losing Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju), Ser Brienne (Gwendoline Christie), The Hound (Rory McCann) and Gendry (Joe Dempsie).
Thrones fans on Reddit, a notoriously dedicated bunch, also rated the most recent episode, “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”, picked baby names for a potential Jon (Kit Harington)/Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) love child and predicted a grim future for Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) and Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson).
