Which celebrity chefs and sports stars will be on hand at Maldives’ Soneva resorts this October?

Exclusive island getaways offer sports sessions with champion pros, wellness consultations and meals from visiting Michelin-starred chefs at Sovena Fushi and sister property Soneva Jani

As well as relaxation, the Soneva Jani resort offers guests a huge water slide.

Anyone seeking a luxurious island getaway that also offers a chance to work on their sports skills, learn how to truly meditate and indulge in some stellar dining, might consider heading to the Maldives to recharge at the award-winning Soneva resorts this October.

As part of the two-year “Festival of Colour” campaign, the Soneva Fushi and sister Soneva Jani resorts are welcoming both Michelin-starred guest chefs and sport and wellness experts – on hand to help you burn off what you consume – throughout the entire month.

First up, British rugby union legend and fan favourite Jason Robinson – holder of 51 international caps for England – will be visiting Soneva Fushi from October 18 to November 3. At the same time Slovakian tennis champion Daniela Hantuchová – winner of seven WTA tournament titles and victorious over giants such as Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki – will be on hand from October 18 to 27. Both pros will be visiting to share their hard-earned experience with guests.

Meanwhile those seeking personal wellness beyond the spa walls can join globally recognised wellness consultant Sandra Laznik at Soneva Jani, to tap into her keen understanding of science, sport massage, yoga and Pilates in creating ideal wellness programmes, from October 1 to 25.

Finally, guests can indulge their taste buds in menus by some of the world’s most creative chefs. Known for his Alpine eatery La Bouitte, three Michelin-star chef Maxime Meilleur visits both Soneva Fushi (October 6 to 11) and Soneva Jani (October 12 to 20).

Three more top chefs will visit Soneva Fushi over the month: “Best Restaurant in Asia” Odette co-owner Julien Royer brings his two Michelin stars from October 16 to 23; Grégoire Berger, famed for Dubai’s underwater Ossiano, will visit from October 19 to 28; and Giancarlo Perbellini, double Michelin awardee for Casa Perbellini and Dopolavoro Dining Room, will serve up his signature modern rural fare from October 22 to 30.
