The world’s richest man, Jeff Bezos, has made his first public appearance with his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez, since his multibillion-dollar divorce – in England.
Bezos, 55, Amazon’s founder and CEO, and Sanchez, an American television host and film and television producer, were photographed sitting in the royal box watching the five-hour men’s singles final, featuring Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, at Saturday’s Wimbledon tennis championships.
Bezos’ divorce from his long-time wife MacKenzie Bezos had become official only days earlier
Sanchez, 49, also filed for divorce earlier this year from her husband, Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell.
Bezos is known as a tennis fan. In 2001, he paired up with tennis star Pete Sampras to play in a charity match against Microsoft founder Bill Gates and another American tennis great, Andre Agassi.
Bezos and Sanchez were not the only famous, non-royals seated in royal box on Saturday. British actors Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch – separated by Cumberbatch’s wife, Sophie – also watched the men’s singles final.
