Roger Dubuis teams with Lamborghini on luxury watches
The Excalibur Aventador S features a new calibre inspired by Lamborghini’s Aventador S engine and the new Huracán Super Trofeo EVO
If you happen to be a watch lover and a Lamborghini fan, you’ll love this. Contemporary haute horologer Roger Dubuis has launched the Excalibur Aventador S, which features a new calibre inspired by Lamborghini’s Aventador S engine and the new Huracán Super Trofeo EVO.
This partnership between the two major players in the luxury world was announced yesterday evening at Lamborghini’s headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy.
Named Duotor, the new movement is distinguished by engine strut bars that revisit Roger Dubuis’ Astral Skeleton principle. The calibre was launched at the same time Lamborghini revealed its new Huracán Super Trofeo EVO, which bears the watchmaker’s name.
The Excalibur Aventador S is available in two versions. The 88-piece limited edition bears Lamborghini’s “Giallo Orion” yellow paint code, while the eight-piece-only version comes in “Arancio Argos” orange.
The double balance wheels of the Duotor are inclined, both supported by bridges shaped like a triangular wheel suspension assembly.

Roger Dubuis’ CEO, Jean-Marc Pontroué, ́initiated the collaboration after noticing that Lamborghini was the number one carmaker his customers named when asked about cars. He said the two brands shared the same values: performance, lightness and precision. When the partnership was discussed, he wanted to go beyond putting a logo on an existing Lamborghini.
Stefano Domenicali, chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini and a racing car veteran, said: “Lamborghini is constantly evolving as a trendsetter in the racing segment. We are proud to cooperate with Roger Dubuis, with which we share a commitment to constant innovation and a uniqueness in our products.”
