Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre launches global Care programme with extended warranty

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s new Care programme – with an online platform in 12 languages including simplified and traditional Chinese – extends warranty for clocks and watches up to eight years

Jaeger-LeCoultre's new Care programme connects collectors with craftsmen through a digital platform.

Jaeger-LeCoultre has just launched its Care programme, extending international limited warranty to up to eight years for its clocks and watches. The Care programme also includes an online platform that helps collectors keep track of their collection of Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces. The announcement of the watchmaker’s extended warranty programme is one of the longest in the Swiss watchmaking industry.

Launched in 12 languages including simplified and traditional Chinese, the platform caters to the increasingly international global watch community, with additional support for WeChat users with an integrated platform.

Catherine Rénier, CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre says the Care programme is the house’s response to consumer needs. “We are excited to offer this new solution to our customers’ evolving preferences while remaining true to our maison’s long traditions and status as the Home of Watchmaking, by constantly challenging ourselves to take technology, design and service quality to the next level.”

Jaeger-LeCoultre’s fully integrated watchmaking capabilities give life to more than 180 crafts that are required to create the full range of the brand’s watches and clocks. From movement design and assembly to decoration and case-making, the Swiss manufacturer’s in-house production all takes place under a single roof in its Joux Valley factory in Switzerland.

The Care programme signals the watchmaker’s confidence in its quality, the digital platform launched shows the brand’s desire to connect with collectors and its customer base.

The Care platform lets collectors digitally archive their Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces and receive personalised services relating to maintenance for each timepiece they age. The website allows collectors to connect with craftsmen for maintenance advice.

“We continuously invest in the satisfaction of our valued customers, and this programme and warranty offer is a true milestone designed to assist our customers in knowing better and taking care of their timepieces,” says Rénier.

The extended warranty applies to all new purchases upon registration to the Care programme. Watches that are still under warranty will be eligible for the extended warranty, dating back to the date of purchase.
