It’s that time of the year when Van Cleef & Arpels presents a dazzling winter dream set with precious gemstones in its latest fine jewellery collections. Featuring delicate openwork, which highlights the natural beauty of diamonds, the new Brume de Saphir, Diamond Breeze and Contes d’Hiver collections pay tribute to the splendour of nature with a versatile range of jewellery.
While the Diamond Breeze is all about timeless “white jewellery” combining the gems’ radiance with that of precious metal, the Brume de Saphir offers two high jewellery ensembles inspired by the famed Palmyre collection. The Contes d'Hiver, with its delicate ribbons of white gold studded with sparkling diamonds, is the brand’s true tribute to winter.
Van Cleef & Arpels selects diamonds of the highest quality for all its creations. The same meticulous attention is paid to central stones and paved surfaces rated D, E or F for colour and FL to VVS2 for clarity. The diamonds complement one another to endow the creations with an exceptional intensity and purity of design.

Created in 1978, the Palmyre high jewellery collection has influenced the Brume de Saphir’s graceful design, where blue and pink sapphires have been combined with red gold and white gold to create an effect of shiny droplets from the Oasis of Palmyra, presented in the form of beautiful earrings, a necklace and bracelet. Each stone reveals its brilliance thanks to the bezel mount setting, which gives the piece an intense brightness by allowing light to pass through. This also accentuates the subtle gradations in hue among the sapphires.

Our favourite pick from the Diamond Breeze collection is the playful Perlée Secret Watch with a white mother-of-pearl dial and a rose-gold lid set with diamonds. Crafted in the “toi et moi” jewellery style, the watch is designed as a bracelet featuring two different-sized diamond-paved motifs opposite one another on an open bangle. For those who love this style, there are a set of stylish Perlée diamond rings and a cuff bracelet, which can be paired with the timepiece for an absolutely scintillating look.
The show-stopper among the most resplendent jewellery pieces in the Contes d’Hiver collection is the ribbon necklace set with 320 diamonds. The clean lines of this piece hug the contours of the neck and form an elegant drape, illuminating the neckline like a halo of light.
