Actress Fan Bingbing in limelight at Valentino celebration in Hong Kong

Although she's usually prowling the Venice Film Festival's red carpet at this time of year, mainland actress Fan Bingbing was under the spotlight at a different Italian event on Friday.

All eyes were on the beauty as she made a fashionably late entrance at a Valentino cocktail party in Central's IFC Mall. The event was held to showcase a project initiated by Valentino's creative directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, in celebration of the brand's 50th anniversary.

Fan, along with Canto-pop singer Joey Yung Cho-yee, socialites Pansy Ho Chiu-king, Laurinda Ho Chiu-lin and Orlando Ho Yau-kai, checked out the celebratory capsule collection. The IFC's atrium was packed with party-goers and passing shoppers who were eager for a peek at Fan and the clothes on show at the spacious venue.

The exhibition runs through to Sunday at the atrium and items from the collection are being stocked at the Valentino boutique in IFC.
