Woman dies in hospital after being airlifted from Hong Kong hiking trail where she collapsed

A hiker died in hospital on Thursday after being airlifted from a Hong Kong country park where she had been trekking.
The 51-year-old woman and a female friend were hiking in Sai Kung East Country Park when the incident happened at around 9.42am.
According to police, the victim complained of feeling unwell before she passed out.
Emergency personnel were called in after a man found the woman collapsed near the hilltop of Tai Cham Koi, according to a police spokeswoman.
She said a Government Flying Service helicopter was deployed to the scene and airlifted the unconscious woman to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital in Chai Wan, where she died soon after 11am.
Police said an autopsy would be carried out to establish the cause of death.
