Hamas says ‘no sense’ in holding truce talks, accuses Israel of ‘hunger war’ in Gaza

Hamas said it is no longer pursuing truce talks due to Israel’s plans to displace residents in Gaza, and called for global intervention to address the humanitarian crisis

A senior Hamas official said on Tuesday the group was no longer interested in truce talks with Israel and urged the international community to halt Israel’s “hunger war” against Gaza.

“There is no sense in engaging in talks or considering new ceasefire proposals as long as the hunger war and extermination war continue in the Gaza Strip,” Basem Naim said.
