Having spent a decade tackling marathons and competing at the top levels of international road running competitions, in 2012 Magdalena Boulet decided to switch to trail running.
She has now become one of the most beloved and well-known members of the international trail running community, and has come to Hong Kong for the first time to compete in the 9 Dragons Ultra trail run.
She speaks with Adventure Trail co-hosts Mary Hui and Mark Agnew about how she made the change from roads to trails, how she has maintained her passion and focus in the sport over the years, her shocking experience at the Beijing Olympics and her fear of the infamous staircases of Hong Kong’s trail running environment.
