A tale of two lifestyles

Wallich Residence sits at the pinnacle of Guoco Tower, an ambitious vertical city that will be the focal point of the Tanjong Pagar precinct. An integrated development, Guoco Tower houses Grade A offices, luxury residences, a 5-star business hotel, an extensive variety of retail and F&B options, and a lush urban park.

Singapore is characterised by a mix of the new and the old, fast-paced and laid-back, with brilliant vibrancy and subtle details, making it the perfect place for you to call home.

GuocoLand, a leading and award-winning developer based in Singapore renowned for building luxury developments, is delighted to introduce two upmarket residential projects in the city-state to Hong Kong homebuyers: Wallich Residence in Singapore’s CBD and Meyer Mansion in the East Coast.

By location and design, Wallich Residence caters to urban elites looking for an exciting and fast-paced lifestyle, but for those looking for something more laid-back and relaxed, the Meyer Mansion offers an alternative.

Wallich Residence

Located on Wallich Street, Wallich Residence bears the name of distinguished Danish surgeon and botanist Dr Nathaniel Wallich, whose own legacy has contributed substantially to Singapore’s reputation as a Garden City.

Wallich’s passion for the region’s rich flora and fauna gave rise to the Botanic and Experimental Garden in 1822, the forerunner to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, today a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Wallich Residence collection is enviably arranged over the upper levels (39-64/F) of the iconic Guoco Tower. The tallest of its kind in Singapore, Guoco Tower is a mixed-use tower that incorporates prime office space with retail, hospitality, residential, and park space – rising majestically above the Tanjong Pagar MRT station.

Occupying a commanding position 180m to 290m above sea, Wallich Residence collection of 181 luxury residences afford its prestigious residents panoramic views of the Singapore skyline.

These beautifully appointed apartments are configured as one- to four-bedrooms, plus four penthouses and one exclusive super-luxury penthouse. Exceptional design, impeccable detailing, and four levels of stunning amenities elevate the luxury lifestyle to breath-taking new heights.

With four levels of amenities, from the hotel-inspired Wallich Concierge Service and the stunning infinity pool at level 39 to the private dining on level 52 and breath-taking observation platforms on level 62, Wallich Residence is a tower that stands apart. Not just by its sheer height, but also by the quality of the life one experiences here.

Given its central location, residents of Wallich Residence can reach any place on the island easily. The area has connections to major highways such as the Marina Coastal Expressway and Ayer Rajah Expressway. Changi International Airport is just a 16 minutes’ drive away, while Marina Bay and Orchard Road are a mere 4- and 8-minutes’ drive away, respectively.

Wallich Residence is also poised to ride the development of the Greater Southern Waterfront, which will be created from the relocation of the city container terminals to Tuas. Port operator PSA Singapore began to vacate the Tanjong Pagar Terminal last year, well ahead of its lease expiry in 2027.

A total area of 1,000ha — three times the size of Marina Bay — will be freed up for development. A new waterfront similar to Hong Kong’s iconic waterfront promenade of the West Kowloon Cultural District will open in this part of Singapore.

With the CBD as a backdrop and future developments in the area, Wallich Residence at Guoco Tower represents not just a trophy home, but also an opportunity for investors with foresight.

Meyer Mansion

In the past, the East Coast was a weekend seaside retreat for the wealthy, where many grand mansions were blessed with unobstructed beach frontage. The architecture here was distinctly set apart from the rest of the city with its unique old-world charm. Inspired by its history and site context, Meyer Mansion combines understated luxury living and modern tropical architecture to create a new architectural landmark.

In old bungalows, the verandah was a large and important space open to the outdoors. It often functioned as sitting rooms that afforded the simple pleasures of looking out onto the front lawn or garden. That same privilege can be found at Meyer Mansion with deep and shaded balconies reminiscent of tropical verandahs where you can enjoy breakfast looking out to the East Coast, or simply watch the sunset over the city.

Occupying a prestigious freehold residential site, Meyer Mansion’s rarity combines the laid-back charm of the East Coast whilst being perched right at the edge of the city. Multiple routes via the ECP or Nicoll Highway takes you into the heart of downtown CBD, Marina Bay, Suntec City and the Civic District in under 10 minutes.

On the whole, the 25-storey development offers 200 units comprising one- to four-bedroom units, with sizes ranging from 484 to 2,142 square feet. It features eight different layouts, with only 25 exclusive units each. All units at Meyer Mansion will afford a view, with the lower floor units enjoying lush views of Meyer Mansion’s gardens and the higher floor units boasting unblocked views of the sea and the surrounding landed enclave.

The perfect “welcome home” begins at the entrance – the former bungalows along Meyer Road were set back from the road with a driveway lined with tropical trees leading to the front porch. The same privacy and privilege is echoed at Meyer Mansion, bringing back the nostalgia of the grand arrival in old stately mansions.

Beyond function, the layout for every mansion in the sky is inspired by the old Meyer Road bungalows where space was the true luxury. Dining areas extend to the Asian kitchen or balcony, recalling the lifestyle of the fifties. Natural light fills the living spaces through panoramic windows that give you unrivalled views from the sea to the city, in your home.

As much as 80 per cent of the 85,200 sq ft land area has been dedicated to creating an expansive landscaping, which comes with a grand arrival court, two clubhouse, two swimming pools and a grand lawn.

A 450-metre walk via an underpass to East Coast Park, Meyer Mansion is just 10 minutes away from the airport or the city. When the Thomson-East Coast MRT Line is open in 2023, the Katong Park MRT station will be just a six minutes’ walk away; providing a direct transit to Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay, Orchard and Changi Airport MRT stations. Meyer Mansion is set for completion in 2024.

Meyer Mansion offers full condominium facilities that provide rich lifestyle and entertainment to residents. The condo facilities include two clubhouses, indoor gym, two swimming pools, BBQ pavilion and kid’s playground. Artist’s impression of Meyer Mansion’s clubhouse.
