Dejan Damjanovic returns to South Korea on Tuesday night aiming to steer Beijing Guoan into the knockout phase of the AFC Champions League for the second time in three seasons.

Beijing take on Suwon Bluewings knowing a draw will be enough to guarantee they progress to the round of 16 as winners of group G, and coach Gregorio Manzano is looking for Damjanovic to be the difference between the teams once again.

The Montenegro international striker scored the only goal of the teams' meeting in the second round of group matches in March and Manzano is hoping to further harness the former FC Seoul man's knowledge of Korean football.

He played so many good games in the K-League over the years. In the home win against Suwon, he played a very important part and I expect another good game from Dejan Gregorio Manzano, Beijing Guoan coach

"He played so many good games in the K-League over the years," said Manzano. "In the home win against Suwon, he played a very important part and I expect another good game from Dejan."

Damjanovic is no stranger to success in the AFC Champions League. It was his attacking prowess that fuelled FC Seoul's run to the final in 2013, when they lost on the away goals rule to Guangzhou Evergrande.

In all, Damjanovic scored 17 times in 31 AFC Champions League matches during a six-year career with FC Seoul before spending a six-month stint with Jiangsu Sainty, after which he signed for Beijing last summer.

Brisbane, who beat Beijing two weeks ago, must win by as many goals as possible against the eliminated Japanese club to have any chance of advancing.

"This is the last game of the group and obviously very important," said Manzano. "We know that it is possible we can progress to the second round even if we lose, but we are not thinking about that.

"We approach every game with the intention of victory and this is no different."

Guangzhou Evergrande also feature on Tuesday night and, having already qualified, Fabio Cannavaro's side can deal a killer blow to defending champions Western Sydney Wanderers at home.

The Australians must win to keep their hopes alive, with Guangzhou looking to avenge their loss to Western Sydney in a bad-tempered clash in the quarter-finals last year.

"I always hope we can win every game, but injuries and suspensions are part of football," said Cannavaro.

"We will target a win. I don't really care who we are going to play in the knockout stage."
