Jeremy Lin returned to form as the Beijing Ducks bounced back with a 93-78 win over the Shanxi Loongs on Sunday night.

The NBA champion had his “worst game” in the Chinese Basketball Association in the Beijing Ducks previous game last Friday. Lin scored just 13 points in that shock defeat by the Zhejiang Golden Bulls, well off his season average.

However, he was back to his best on Sunday in Taiyuan against the Shanxi Loongs, who were led by his former Toronto Raptors teammate and fellow NBA champion Eric Moreland.

Lin signalled his intent with the opening basket and never looked back. He also scored the first basket of the second quarter as the Ducks raced into a 14-point lead at the half.

Lin was full of praise for his teammates after the match, writing on his Weibo account. “Perfect team, perfect defence, perfect rebound victory!”

He posted 32 points, six assists and six rebounds in his 36 minutes on court. He also had three steals and a bloody nose to add to his growing list of injuries picked up in the CBA.

Lin scored four of his five attempts from beyond the arc to add to his charitable contribution for the season. The 31-year-old has promised 3,000 yuan (US$428) for every three he makes, which the Ducks agreed to match.

Victory takes the Ducks to 14-6 for the season and keeps them in third in the standings.

They play next on Christmas Day when they welcome second-placed Xinjiang Flying Tigers to Beijing.
