Eddie Alvarez and Demetrious Johnson are back in action for One Championship on a stacked “Dawn of Heroes” card at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.

“The Underground King” will look to put a shock debut loss in Tokyo behind him on Friday night but he’ll get no favours from Filipino hero Eduard Folayang in what promises to be the fight of the night. Alvarez told the Post this week “we’re not leaving Manila without a win”.

The winner will progress to the final of the lightweight grand prix final when One returns to the Japanese capital in October – and the flyweight tournament’s final will also be set tonight. Johnson goes against Tatsumitsu Wada in his semi-final.

There are 14 fights in total, with the preliminaries getting under way at 5pm local time, and you can watch them all in the live stream below. You can click here for all the Post ’s results, recaps and reaction, too, with written reports and videos from Manila.

Throw in Martin Nguyen defending his featherweight title against Japan’s Koyomi Matsushima in the main event and it promises to be a blockbuster show.

In the co-main event, Britain’s Jonathan Haggerty puts his flyweight Muay Thai championship on the line against Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon.

Five Team Lakay members in total will be competing – first up is Edward Kelly against China’s Xie Bin.

Geje Eustaquio then faces Yuya Wakamatsu in the flyweight grand prix reserve bout, and Honorio “The Rock” Banario battles Korean lightweight Park Dae-sung.

Danny “The King” Kingad then takes on Filipino-Australian Reece McLaren on the main card in the other flyweight grand prix semi-final.

On the prelims, former UFC star Yushin Okami fights American James Nakashima. Another ex-UFC fighter, Arjan Bullar’s debut was scrapped hours before the show after his opponent, Mauro Cerilli, was diagnosed with a staph infection.

Andrew Miller also has a short notice Muay Thai fight against Thailand’s Rodlek on the main card, after Chris Shaw withdrew last week from would have been his debut.
