Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, one of the greatest talkers in pro wrestling history, has given his seal of approval to Michael Chandler’s latest post-fight promo.

Chandler, the former Bellator lightweight champ, was back in action on the main card of UFC 274 last Saturday in Phoenix, Arizona, taking on Tony Ferguson.

He won the fight with a devastating head-kick knockout in round two, and then cut a sizzling promo that targeted lightweight stars Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje and Conor McGregor.

The 36-year-old’s work on the mic was so impressive that Johnson was compelled to give him props on Twitter.

“What an incredible KO from Michael Chandler,” the WWE legend and actor wrote. “And on top of that he just delivered a truly electrifying promo that already sold tickets to his next fight that’s not even booked yet.”

Johnson was tuned in live for UFC 274, and happened to be recording a video of himself at the precise moment Chandler put Ferguson down in round two.

“Holy [expletive],” he said as Chandler celebrated in the cage.

With his win over Ferguson, Chandler (23-7) rebounded from a decision loss to Gaethje, and a submission loss to Oliveira, which marked a failed bid to claim the vacant lightweight title.

The victory reasserted him as one of the lightweight division’s top contenders.

Johnson has never competed in MMA, but has proven himself to be an avid fan of the sport, and was even tasked with awarding the UFC’s one-off “BMF” title to Jorge Masvidal after he defeated Nate Diaz in 2019.
