ONE Championship is set for a busy 2023 in Thailand, with plans for 53 events in Bangkok’s hallowed Lumpinee Boxing Stadium between now and the end of the year.

The first of those events is set for Friday night.

How to watch

ONE’s 12-fight Lumpinee debut will be broken into two segments.

Both shows will air live in 179 countries, either through ONE’s usual broadcast partners in most of those respective markets, such as Abema in Japan and Globo in Brazil (on their television and digital platforms), or on ONE’s YouTube channel, Facebook page, and official streaming service, in all of the markets where the promotion is established.

In the US, fans can watch on Fanduel TV, rather than Amazon Prime Video.

“It’s 12 fights, every week. There are no prelims,” Chatri told the Post.

ONE Friday Fights

The first part, which is tailored for ONE’s international fans, will begin at 7.30pm, local time.

The early portion of the event will conclude with a 14o-pound catchweight Muay Thai clash between Thai star Seksan Or. Kwanmuang and Australia’s Tyson Harrison.

Both men will be making their ONE debuts, but Seksan has already battled a host of the promotion’s best Muay Thai fighters, including Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Panpayak Jitmuangnon.

It will also feature an appearance from popular bantamweight Muangthai PK. Saenchai, who will take on Mavlud Tupiev.

“The ONE Friday Fights card is focused on our international broadcasters, in 179 countries around world, which will be a miniature version of our big flagship stadium events,” Chatri said.

“So you’re gonna see kickboxing, MMA, Muay Thai, grappling, and it’s really focused on international athletes from around world. The talent level is gonna be rising stars as opposed to the superstars we have already in ONE.”

ONE Lumpinee

The second segment of ONE’s Lumpinee Stadium debut will cater to the promotion’s Thai fans. It will commence at 9.30pm, and will air on Channel 7 locally.

That portion of the broadcast will conclude with a bantamweight Muay Thai title fight, as dominating Thai champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao attempts to defend his belt against former kickboxing champ Alaverdi Ramazanov from Russia.

Former strawweight Muay Thai champion Prajanchai PK. Saenchai will be in action in the penultimate bout of the night.

He will take on his fellow Thai Kompetch Sitsarawatsuer.

“The Thai card is focused on the Thai market,” Chatri said. “It is still broadcast around the world, but on our digital platforms. It is heavily Thai focused to entertain this market. Channel 7 is broadcasting.

“We plan to broadcast both cards on our digital platforms every week, and the only exception are countries where broadcasters have bought all TV and digital rights. Most countries have just bought digital rights, so opening it up on our digital is a big plus for our fans.

“Even in Thailand, we’ll be showcasing both cards on our digital platforms, in conjunction with Channel 7s TV broadcast. Channel 7 is also broadcasting off Facebook and their YouTube channel. Basically, it’s available everywhere. It’s good news for our fans in Thailand, but also around the world.

“If you’re in the US, it is our digital platforms but I can tell you multiple discussions are ongoing in the US right now, not necessarily with Amazon, for the ONE Friday Fights.”
