The new loadout system allows players to mix and match mobility and tactical equipment depending on matchups. Three pieces of mobility equipment -- glider, grappling hook or BMX -- are available. Players also get to equip themselves with one of six tactical gear items, including the new medgun, deployable shield, and DPV.

The three new characters that will be gracing the island of Europa are Ookami the samurai, Sakura the assassin and Mobula the legendary mercenary. The new season will come heavy with features from Japanese culture including Ema, a new Japanese-themed island on the map. Other new landmarks are an off-shore drilling station and a tidal power station.
