Dynasty in Hong Kong serves up excellent Cantonese fare in authentic Chinese surroundings

Overlooking Victoria Harbour, this recently-renovated eatery remains popular with celebrities and the business elite

Known as a “tycoon’s canteen” to celebrities and the business elite, Dynasty underwent an extensive renovation a few years ago. With the backdrop of Victoria Harbour, the dining area is reminiscent of a grand Xiguan Mansion,featuring grey marble bricks, carved wooden doors, stained glass windows and Chinese artefacts and motifs.
Dynasty Restaurant is known as a ‘tycoon canteen’ to celebrities and the business elite.
Dynasty has always been known for its excellent Cantonese fare, and the executive chef Suen Kam-sing re-creates signatures, such as char siu, deep-fried fresh mud crab claw with five spice and chilli. He has also created new dishes such as deep-fried lobster in home-made sauce with a deep-fried bun.
