Hong Kong Tennis Open is ON as Typhoon Khana is downgraded in time for final to go ahead
Final between Australia’s Daria Gavrilova and Russia’s Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova set to go ahead after 8.30pm
Organisers of the Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open have announced that the tournament final will go ahead on Sunday night.
The tournament has been beset by delays on the final day due to Typhoon Khanun, but with the storm downgraded to a T3 rating shortly before the organisers’ deadline of 8pm, it was decided that the final between Australia’s Daria Gavrilova and Russia’s Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova will go ahead sometime after 8.30pm.
