Tokyo Olympics day 2: Chen Lijun lifts China to more gold, Hong Kong joy for Lam Siu-hang – as it happened
- Chen secures China's second weightlifting gold medal on Sunday and sets Olympic record in the men's 67kg competition
- Hong Kong's Lam seals massive upset against India's Sathiyan Gnanasekaran to battle into third round of men's table tennis singles

Lam Siu-hang shocked India's Sathiyan Gnanasekaran in the men's table tennis singles to battle into the third round, showing the kind of determination that was missing in the morning session for some of his teammates.
Earlier, mixed doubles pair Doo Hoi-kem and Wong Chun-ting lost a dramatic quarter-final to France, an event where they had high hopes for a medal. There was also despair for Minnie Soo Wai-yam, who lost 4-2 against Spain's Maria Xiao in the women's singles. In the badminton, Tse Ying-suet and Tang Chun-man lost in the mixed doubles, meaning they must now beat Germany on Monday to progress to the next round.
There was also disappointment for Hong Kong's four-time Olympian Stephanie Au Hoi-shun, who failed to make the semi-finals of the women’s 100m backstroke.
China's golden start to the Games continued though, with Shi Tingmao and Wang Han taking top spot in the diving, as they dominated the final of the women's synchronised 3m springboard. Weightlifter Li Fabin also added another gold in the men's 61kg category, setting two Olympic records, and Chen Lijun then topped the men's 67kg event with an OR of his own. There was a shock loss for China's women's volleyball team, however, against Turkey.
