Hong Kong athletes are looking for a medal bonanza at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on Thursday, day 13 of the Games, with track cyclist Sarah Lee Wai-sze and karate star Grace Lau Mo-sheung leading the way.

Marathon swimming: 5.30am

William Yan Thorley will set out on the open sea for the men’s 10km marathon swim. The 18-year-old is the first local marathon swimmer to qualify for the Olympics since Natasha Tsang in 2012.

Golf: 6.30am

Hong Kong’s only elite pro golfer, Tiffany Chan Tsz-ching, will tee off at 6.30am for her second round of the Olympic tournament. The 27-year-old Chan will hope to turn things around after struggling on the opening day on Wednesday.
