IF you have no idea who Madam Nancy is, then you have much to catch up on. For most youngsters, this hottest disc jockey in town is the ultimate idol. Madam Nancy has vowed to turn over a new leaf in her career this summer. And Ultimate 903 of Commercial Radio 2 (CR2) is helping her to achieve her goal by lining up a new series of programme and activities for the holidays. Madam Nancy's hit programme Nancy Kara QK , which was originally broadcast from 11 pm to 1 am, has now been rescheduled to run on the prime time-slot from 4 pm to 6 pm. The girlish twentysomething DJ said: ''The broadcast time isn't really that important to me. When I am on the air, I give my best and I am proud to do so.'' To elevate this already successful programme to another level of popularity, Ultimate 903 has included a drama entitled Suddenly This Summer in its programme. The play features pop stars Ekin Cheng Yee-kin, Vivian Chow Wai-man, Nicky Wu Chi-lung and Liz Kong Hei-man, who play characters interlocked in a love relationship. In Madam Nancy's own words, the story is primarily about ''puppy love''. The drama, which kicked off on July 4, is aired every weekday, with a replay of the episodes on Sundays at 4 pm. In addition to the new Nancy Kara QK , the talented DJ can be heard, and even seen on Saturdays, doing some broadcasting on the street, surprising pedestrians with games and questions as part of her Yo Yo Nancy Land programme. Other major summer activities include a swimming gala, fans' athletic meet, voluntary charity work, mini-concerts and birthday parties to name just a few. The radio station, with its summer slogan 903 for Sure , looks determined to provide a wide range of activities to teenagers so that they can spend their summer holidays constructively. But for ex-student Madam Nancy, the holidays are not just a time to sit back and relax. With her examination results expected shortly, Madam Nancy said: ''Right now, I am extremely anxious and excited about my results! The only thing I am expecting right now is a smooth graduation. Considering the time and effort I put into my work as a DJ, I would be very happy just to graduate.'' As the interview ends, two questions still remain unanswered.
