NBA star Jeremy Lin has used his outfits for the play-offs to embrace Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
The Toronto Raptors guard explained his outfit choices via his Instagram account.
He posted after Tuesday’s game four to celebrate his team’s win and raise awareness for May in the US being APAHM, which is also known as Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
Lin wore a T-shirt featuring actress Constance Wu as the iconic World War II propaganda image of Rosie the Riveter alongside her “We Can Do It” slogan.

He praised the Fresh Off The Boat and Crazy Rich Asians star and spoke of his pride in his own heritage.
“Shoutout to Constance who was has been vocal and articulate on key issues such as equality, social justice, and representation … respect her tremendously and have a lot to learn from her. Also I can’t express how freakin proud I am to be Asian-American!!” Lin wrote.
“There are still so many fields where Asians are underrepresented and it makes me so happy to see Asian Americans pursuing their dreams and killin it in design, fashion, and other industries.”

Last nights playoff outfit is all about BOBA! Speakin of last night, huge team effort and crazyyy environment at Scotiabank thanks to the fans!! I lived off boba in high school and would have boba wars (think laser tag but w tapioca pearls). Some of my close friends cant go one day without drinkin it @jaychou lol Growing up in the US, a lot of Asian Americans have the experience of being embarrassed of our Asian lunches at school and wishing our moms would let us trade in our dumplings for sandwiches. Major shoutout to @bobaguys , @chaumeleon , @ymfy and all the other awesome Asian people bridging cultures with our food and drinks!! We have so much culture to celebrate and offer to the world! 加油⛽️

Lin followed this up with a post after game five explaining his second APAHM-themed outfit, a “Boba” sweatshirt paying tribute to Taiwanese bubble tea.

Lin also outed his close friend, actor Jay Chou, as unable to go one day without drinking bubble tea.

The Raptors lead the Philadelphia 76ers 3-2 in the best of seven series, winning the last game with a blowout 125-89.

Lin also used an Instagram story to apologise to rapper Drake for ignoring him.
The Raptors superfan was sat courtside and offered a hand to Lin to bump fists but the player ran right past him, leading to the apology.
“I sincerely sincerely sincerely apologize for missing Drakes dap. Was too excited to check in smh #sorrydrake.” he wrote, adding a facepalm emoji.
The Raptors, who are undefeated in the games where Lin has played in the playoffs, play again in Philadelphia on Friday.
