Jeremy Lin is one win away from an NBA Championship ring and people are pretty happy about it
- ‘Linsanity’ closer to becoming first Asian-American NBA champion after Raptors beat Warriors in game four
- Lin has only played 51 seconds in four games but fans are loving the prospect of him getting a championship before Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul
After a 105-92 win over the Golden State Warriors in game four, the Toronto Raptors are on the verge of their first NBA Championship – and so is Jeremy Lin.
After becoming the first East Asian-American to play in an NBA Finals with his 51-second cameo in game three, Lin failed to make it off the bench again.
But with the Raptors 3-1 up in the Finals, the former New York Knicks star – who began the season at the Atlanta Hawks before buying out his contract – could be about to get his hands on an unexpected ring. That would make him the first Asian-American to win an NBA Championship – and his fans are pretty happy about it.
“I find it hilarious Jeremy Lin is going to get a ring without doing anything,” wrote one user.
But most of the comments on Twitter centred around Lin possibly getting a ring before his old Knicks rival Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul.
