After winning the NBA title with the Toronto Raptors, the question now is what comes next for Jeremy Lin.
The first Asian-American to get a winners’ ring has a decision to make after his short-term deal with the champs expired and, as a free agent, the ball is in his court.
NBC Sports wrote that, “He could provide good point guard depth to a lot of teams” as they listed Lin among their list of the top 10 free agents still available.
There has been little progress on the future of the 30-year-old in the 10 days since.

Moving on to other basketball things (and I might be biased here) but it's a little mind-boggling to me that a solid contributor like @JLin7 has not yet found a home.
Admittedly the Toronto stint didn't go as planned but he's still a highly skilled PG with lots left in the tank.

Lin may not have got more than two minutes across the finals, but he was invaluable during the Raptors’ run to the play-offs and provided depth from the bench. He can do the same for another franchise.
So where might he go?

A return to the Charlotte Hornets was suggested as a good fit by Sports Illustrated’s Fansided website and picked up by other media outlets.
Lin was in Charlotte for the 2015-16 season where he took the team to the play-offs.
A reunion would also help replace the losses of Kemba Walker to the Boston Celtics and Jeremy Lamb to the Indiana Pacers.

Lin averaged 11.7 points, three assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game during his season in Charlotte, which is not miles away from his overall record last season of 9.6 points and 3.1 assists per game.
That was in 51 games with the Atlanta Hawks before he was waived and then in 23 with the Toronto Raptors.
The Raptors became the eighth NBA team Lin has played for and rumour has it the Canadians may be the last.

Another suggested destination for the former Dongguan Leopards player, the Chinese Basketball Association team he played for in the ABA Club Championship in 2011, is a return to Asia. This was tweeted by 2020 US presidential candidate Andrew Yang.
Lin, who until this summer was the biggest signing in Brooklyn Nets history when he signed a US$36 million deal, is likely to be offered the veteran’s minimum contract in the NBA.
That could lead to a move to the CBA or a Taiwanese team. His brother Joseph won the Super Basketball League title with the Fubon Braves this season.

Lin fans such as actor Simu Liu have wondered why he has not yet been signed with others suggesting possible destinations.
Author Jeff Pearlman suggested the LA Lakers go for Lin, who played for them in the 2014-15 season before moving to Charlotte.
In the meantime, Lin starts his annual Asia Tour on July 17.
