- Lin hits 36 points in as many minutes as Ducks rout Guangzhou on the road, two off NBA career best
- NBA champion hits two more threes to swell his charitable fund to US$7,640 this season
Jeremy Lin scored a CBA career high 36 points as his Beijing Ducks beat the Guangzhou Loong Lions in 109-86 blowout on Tuesday night.
The NBA champion, who signed for the Beijing side after leaving the Toronto Raptors in the NBA postseason in the summer, has been the star of the show since his arrival in China.
However, it was only on Tuesday in the 13th game of the season that Lin broke the 30-point barrier, hitting 10 from 16 in the field at the Tianhe Gymnasium in Guangzhou.
Lin hit 36 points in just 36 minutes on court, hitting 14 from 14 from the free-throw line, as well as adding eight rebounds. He also had six assists and four steals.
His total was only two short of his NBA career best, a mark he reached twice – once against the Los Angeles Lakers with the New York Knicks and once against the San Antonio Spurs with the Houston Rockets.
However, Lin said in the post-game press conference that there was “more to come” from him as he was still making mistakes as he adapts to the new league.
