NBA star CJ McCollum has announced that he will no longer sign autographs as the coronavirus spreads around the United States.

The Portland Trail Blazers guard, who took the team to the Western Conference Finals last year for the first time since 2000, shared the news on his Twitter account.

“The Corona Virus [sic] has officially hit Oregon,” he wrote. “More specifically Lake Oswego … Make sure y’all washing y’all hands with soap for 20 or more seconds & covering ya mouths when you cough.

The 28-year-old also shared another tweet advocating for fist bumps instead of high fives as he told followers to “stay germ free”.
